About me

MONIA - About me 2-flipped-desaturated

I’m an extremely creative person, passionate about languages, storytelling, photography, travels and much more.

I believe learning a language should be joyful, practical, and deeply human … and that’s exactly the kind of experience I aim to offer at The Baobab Language Hub.

My journey started with a degree in Modern Languages and Literature, followed by a few years working in the financial district in London.
Eventually, I felt the pull to return to what I loved most, so I went back to my early passion and shared it with several wonderful students who became my friends.

I have spent the past 20 years teaching English, Spanish, Italian and French to learners of all ages and backgrounds, either in Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and Kenya (remember? That’s where our name comes from!).

My certificates and academic experience:

  • MA Hons in Modern Languages and Literature. University of Parma (Italy).
Original thesis on Irish literature and cinematography.
  • Erasmus experiences: Cardiff University (Wales).
                                          Université de Caen (France).
  • CELTA certificate. English. Ih-International House. London
  • DELE certificate (C2 level). Spanish. Cervantes Institute. London.

After over two decades in London and a few years lived in Madrid, I now live mainly between Spain and Italy.

Whether you’re just starting out or brushing up your knowledge, Im here to support your journey with warmth, encouragement and a few laughs along the way.

Lets learn together, under this virtual baobab tree.
